Lloyds Bank is the first primary bank in the UK to launch a mobile app feature, which benefits its large number of customers. The new app feature enables cash payments at more than 30,000 locations nationwide, using a barcode.

The new feature will be available from August 26. Customers can navigate the ‘Everyday’ area of the banking app to generate a barcode. Then, this can be scanned at over 30,000 convenient locations across the country. Over 94% of PayPoint sites remain open seven days a week.

Now, customers can pay up to 300 pounds per day in notes and coins. The limitations are up to a maximum of 600 pounds a month, with the barcode’s authentication of two hours.

People, now, will be able to pay money at over 30,000 locations, including PayPoints.

99.5% customers live within a mile of a PayPoint store; these PayPoints will provide a convenient way to take care of everyday expeditions. From collecting to returning parcels, paying the bills, topping up a mobile, and many more.

Customers can search for their nearest PayPoint location through the Lloyd Bank app or PayPoint website.

The payments director at Lloyds, Gabby Collins, stated that they are always looking for smarter ways to make banking more flexible and provide customers with more choice.

He further added that the new feature of their baking app enables customers to pay in cash at their nearest PayPoint in just a few minutes. The feature is ideal if they are popping in for milk or picking up a parcel. With this innovation, no other UK bank offers a way to manage money like Lloyd’s.

The CEO of PayPoint, Nick Wiles, said that their leading retail network provides a vast range of essential services at the heart of communities across the UK.

The ability of Lloyds customers to make cash deposits into their accounts at over 30,000 locations will offer more convenience. Now, the customers can access the feature through the PayPoint close the where they live.

Further, customers can continue using any branch of Lloyds, Halifax, or Bank of Scotland for their everyday banking.
