Debbie Dingle from Emmerdale breaks the heartbreaking news to her family after being gone for four years

Four years after Debbie Dingle’s character left the village, Emmerdale has revealed a shocking update on her.

After arguing with her mother, Charity Dingle, viewers will remember Debbie (Charley Webb) leaving with her son Jack Sugden Jr., but leaving her daughter Sarah Sugden behind.

Since Debbie left, other Dingle family members have paid her a visit in Scotland, but in Thursday’s episode, Sarah revealed a startling revelation that left Debbie’s loved ones in disbelief.

Debbie disclosed that she had moved to Australia when Sarah called her mother to inform her of the early-stage cervical cancer diagnosis.

However, that wasn’t the only shocking revelation: according to Leeds Live, Debbie also revealed that she had married her partner Chris only three weeks before, leaving her family devastated.

Sarah informed her grandmother, “Giving to charity: “They just got there this morning. They just got there when I rang.”

Charity added: “I actually can’t wrap my little head around this because let’s face it, nobody just emigrates to Australia just like that, do they?

“There are hours, months filling out forms and answering questions and all the paperwork. That little cow must have known about this for ages.”

Later, Charity called Cain Dingle, Debbie’s father, to arrange a meeting; he was just asking, dissatisfied with their daughter.

Charity implied that Debbie was being influenced by her new husband, but when Cain called Debbie, she reassured him that Chris had intended to stay in Australia and that it was her choice to move there.

Later, Cain was observed struggling with his feelings and wondering why his kids were moving away from him. “I moved to Shetlands last year with my son, Nate Robinson (Jurrel Carter),” he said.

Later, about his son Nate Robinson’s (Jurrel Carter) relocation to the Shetlands last year, Cain was shown to be distressed and asking why all of his children were leaving him.

His family is concerned about Nate’s safety because he hasn’t communicated with them in several months.

Fans of Emmerdale are aware, though, that Nate died tragically at the hands of John Sugden, and his body is now waiting to be found in a lake.
