Dallas Cowboys won their 7th straight game over the New York Giants last night, 26th September, at Metlife Stadium. The game shows a defensive performance by the Cowboys, leading to the score of Dallas Cowboys 20 and New York Giants 15.
Cowboys’ Dak Prescott secures 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, together with DeeCee Lamb, they score 55 yards in the first quarter. Dallas’s defence may be down but allows only five field goals to the opponent.
Although the New York Giants also played a great game until the end time, their fate didn’t work well. They had more first downs and total yards than the Cowboys also dominated the time of profession very well by holding the boll over 35 minutes and 37 seconds.
New York doesn’t finish the game and settles for five field goals every time drives into Dallas territory, with 2 red zones.
The Giants drove 77 yards over 11 plays in 6 min and 18 seconds and elected for a short field goal over 4th and goal.
Their less aggression cost them high value with a score of three points rest of the half. While Dallas was able to only 1.1 yards per carry on the ground for Gaint’s successful passing.
Dallas also scored 2 touchdowns including 55 yards pass from Dak Prescott to CeeDee Lamb and a 15-yard touchdown to Rico Dowdle before adding two field goals in the end. They lead by 14-9 score in the first quarter.
The Giants scored additional field goals but failed to find the end zone throughout the game, which was very disheartening for Giants fans. Dallas added another field goal in the second quarter and was able to extend their lead by 20-15. However, The second half featured no touchdowns for the team which makes it a defensive struggle.
However, the two stars Persons and Nabers left the game after getting injured. Cowboys defensive star Micah Persons was carded off for the Giants’ second to last drive where he tangled up with multiple offensive linemen on the third down pass rush. While Giant’s Rookie wide receiver left the game in the fourth quarter to a concussion after an impressive performance of 12 receptions for 115 yards.
The victory improved the Cowboy’s record to 2-2, while the Giants are now 1-3. The victory conforms the Dallas’s dominance in this rivalry by winning 14 of their last 15 games against New York.
