The sequel to 2019’s massive hit Joker is a new spin on the Clown Princes of Crime, too, with Gaga’s Harley a very different interpretation to the classic origin. The Joker 2 is no match with Part 1.
Folie a Deux is finally here, and the lengthy delay for the return of Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck and the introduction of Lady Gaga’s Harley “Lee” Qiuenzel is finally over.
The Joker 2 is officially titled Joker: Foile a Deux. It might be a DC movie, but it is not part of DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The new movie exists in its own Elseworlds continuity.

The Joker 2 Plot
The Joker 2 picks up with Arthur Fleck behind bars in Arkham. His trial is looming, with Harvey Dent prosecuting. However, before the trial, Arthur meets a fellow patient, Lee Quienzel. These two bond over music, and when Lee seems to be released, she tells Arthur to stop taking his medication.
Lee is a massive fan of Joker and claimed she has been forcibly committed to her mother and has lived in the same area as Arthur. When the case goes to trial, Lee shows up to watch every day.
However, Arthur’s lawyer warns him that Lee has been lying and that she went to a school for psychiatry. Arthur’s lawyer also tells him that Lee is from a wealthy part of Gotham, where she lives with her parents.
Arthur ends up firing his lawyer. Lee becomes more and more like the classic Harley Quinn, wearing increasingly colorful outfits and makeup styles. Arthur begins to become disillusioned with the concept of the Joker, and in court, renounces his alter ego. Then Lee leaves in disgust.
While Arthur wants to run away and wants to start a new life, Lee wants nothing to do with him anymore.
The Joker 2 Review
However, the movie’s low audience score isn’t considering the movie doesn’t seem to be for any audience that might be interested in a Joker sequel. The movie blows up the proposition of the first movie perfectly.
The Joker 2 is not appealing to the fans of 2019’s Joker movie. The plot of the movie rejects any kind of comic accuracy. Thus, it is not for DC fans. The musical numbers are low energetic and morose. So, the movie is not appropriate for the fans of the musical.
The Joker: Folie a Deux seems to be a rare movie that very few audiences will enjoy. It is made clear by the audience score.
