A poorly decomposed body was found in a Tesla registered to singer D4vd (David Anthony Burke). The vehicle, which was found parked in the Hollywood Hills several days before, was towed to a yard in Los Angeles.
The body of the victim has not been identified, and according to the sources, in the LA Times, the body was dismembered and allowed to rot in the case that has a Texas number plate.
The body in Tesla is found decomposing at the LAPD. Human remains were found in two vehicles located this week, law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times. A dreadful odour of an automobile was reported by workers in one tow yard.
Upon check, they discovered a bag in the front trunk containing a head and a torso. The body was in such poor condition when it was found after days in the California heat, locked up, that it has proven hard to identify.
Subsequent research on who owns the Tesla led to the discovery that the Tesla is owned by singer D4vd, who is on a global tour and who is performing in Minneapolis in the coming days. The 20-year-old New York born artist, whose popular hits include Romantic Homicide and Here With Me, is an active social media user who keeps his fans informed about his concerts.
His staff stated that he is cooperating with the police but would not stop his shows. Later this month, he also has a stop in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, police discovered another body in another car in a tow yard in South Los Angeles. The case is of a Honda Civic that is connected with a missing person report.
The corpse in the car was partially burnt. According to police, there is no link between the two deaths as yet, although they are both under investigation.
In the meantime, the Hollywood Hills case (the Tesla attributed to D4vd) is on record as a death investigation, but not as a homicide. The singer is followed by approximately 2 million people on Instagram and has approximately 33 million monthly listeners on the Spotify platform.
He was reportedly terminated by Crocs and Hollister as brand ambassador after the news was received (WWD).
“We are aware of this developing story. With respect to the current situation, we have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues,” the brands said in a joint statement.
The campaign was published on September 3, with the singer appearing in the brand Dream Drop collection, which is their first collaboration. The company has so far deleted all its photographs from its social media accounts, but the campaign itself is still present.
