Professional MMA fighter Raja Jackson, son of former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton aka Rampage Jackson, has found himself at the centre of a storm over a violent behaviour that occurred during a pro wrestling show at a Los Angeles event hall. The startling attack on wrestler Stuart Smith, also dubbed Syko stu, has received a blow back on all social media platforms.
The plot allowed Raja Jackson to slam Syko Stu just once as revenge for being hit earlier using a beer can. However, Raja did not stop after giving the first 10 punches, but continued to give more than 20 punches, thus rendering Sty unconscious in the ring. Fans wondered in shock because Raja screamed in anger as they walked out of the arena. His words broadcast on Kick flew quickly on the internet.
The eruption was surprising because Raja and his father frequently feature as a duo in light-hearted Kick broadcasts. This time, Raja was alone on the live stream as his father appeared on the call with influencer Sneako; the violent act merited immediate condemnation.
Having a reputation for being outspoken on Twitter, Ryan Garcia also reacted to the on-screen action and labelled it sickening. His comments caused controversy on the internet, in which many fans named the episode as one of the worst wrestling disputes in years.
Rampage Jackson spoke on the dispute after it was revealed that Stewart Smith was in critical condition on X.
He said that Raja was led to believe that he could take revenge on the ring, but that things got too out of hand. It was in poor taste, and a thing done amiss, Rampage wrote.
He made no defence of his son. He rather said that Raja was a novice in wrestling, and that his son had a concussion in sparring a few days ago.
Rampage apologised to fans, Kick, and Smith.
“I don’t condone my son’s actions at all. My main concern is that Mr. Smith recovers fast,” he said.
Raja Jackson has not yet commented in public, but the controversy around the stunning California incident is still going strong as combatants, fans, and now Ryan Garcia all have their say.
Raja Jackson is a genuine MMA prospect out of Los Angeles who has been in professional competition since 2023 and is making a name in Amateur. Raja has been pressured by the weight of his father, MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, as he attempts to both live under his father’s successes and make a name of his own in the sport. At this age, the professional is still in his infancy, but he has shown potential in the ring despite throwing himself in an undesirable spotlight in the recent past.
