Jaguar’s new concept car leaked just a few hours ago, and it’s very pink. The images on social media confirm its pink colour, and people have already linked the car’s colour and texture with Penelope’s FAB1 from Thunderbirds.
With its latest electric vehicles and concept designs, Jaguar is making significant strides in the automotive industry.
It’s making a bold shift towards a sustainable future. The unveiling of the Type 00 concept car has generated considerable buzz, showing Jaguar’s new design language and commitment to electric mobility.
New Electric Vision: The Type 00 Concept
The Type 00, relieved recently during Miami Art Week, is a striking electric super coupe that embodies a departure from traditional Jaguar aesthetics. The vehicle aims to target young people or a more creative audience with dubbed Miami Pink and London Blue colours.
The design features an aggressive stance with a long bonnet, large alloy wheels, and the absence of a rear windscreen. It draws comparisons to both luxury and futuristic vehicles like the Rolls-Royce Spectre and Tesla Cybertruck.
The new concept cars were rebranded with the aim of zero emissions. The name ‘Type 00″ signifies both a fresh start for the brand and its electric ambitions, with the ‘Zero” reflecting its fully electric nature. Jaguar plans to launch the production version of this vehicle by late 2025, aiming for a range of up to 478 miles on a single charge and rapid charging capabilities. It allows 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
The Type 00 showcases innovative interior features, including minimalist designs that conceal screens and storage compartments until needed. The seats are made in a unique stitch-free wool-blend fabric and appear to float above the central console made from travertine stone, which enhances the vehicle’s modern aesthetics.
All these approaches reflect the intention to move away from conventional EV designs that often prioritize aerodynamics over bold styling.
Jaguar’s new Electric Architecture (JEA) platform will underpin this model and future electric vehicles, ensuring they are designed especially for the UK market. This platform is expected to support various body styles and cater to diverse consumer needs while managing high-performance standards.
Jaguar’s transition to an all-electric lineup, along with its strategic vision established in 2021. The company aims to redefine luxury through sustainability without sacrificing performance or design integrity. The current models, like the I-PACE, have already demonstrated Jaguar’s capability in the electric segment, achieving impressive acceleration while maintaining zero tailpipe emissions.
