The delay is less than six months from the original window, according to Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick.
The game will launch on Xbox Series X and Series S alongside PlayStation 5, continuing Rockstar’s trend of focusing on current-generation consoles first. A PC release is expected but likely to follow about a year later.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the second trailer, which is expected to provide more gameplay details and story insights. Rockstar has been relatively quiet since the last trailer, focusing on polishing what many hope will be a genre-defining title.
Although GTA 6 aims to set a new standard for open-world action games. The official release on May 26, 2026, will bring the game to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, with PC likely to follow later. Fans remain excited and hopeful that the wait will be worth it.
