Aldi recalls a product from all stores in the UK due to a possible health risk.
Aldi recalled a product because of concerns about allergies and issued a ‘do not eat’ warning. As a precaution, stores are occasionally compelled to recall products once it is found that the label has left out important information about their constituents. Aldi’s Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter are the reason for the most recent notice of this kind.
This exact recall relates to a single pack, the 385g ones with a use-by date of April 12, 2025.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) declared that the product could present “a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents” after it was discovered to contain milk that was not listed on the label.
The notice reads: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it.” Around two to three percent of children suffer from an allergy to cow’s milk, with most growing out of it by the age of five “
This is not the first time that Aldi has issued a recall. The Soupreme Creamy Chicken Soup was recalled by the chain in 2024 because it may have contained peanuts, which were not disclosed on the label.
Tesco, another shop, addressed consumer concerns about a popular food item’s shortage earlier this week.
Many consumers who wanted to purchase the store’s brand of kidney beans, black beans, butter beans, cannellini beans, and chickpeas throughout March were unsuccessful.
A spokesperson for Aldi said: “Our supplier is recalling Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter because it contains the allergen milk, which is not listed on the packaging.
“Customers are asked to return this product to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
“We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your co-operation.”
Meanwhile, the FSA added: “Aldi is recalling the above product and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
“Point of sale notices will be displayed in all detail stores that are selling this product.
“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

Anaphylaxis notified its members and said: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk, do not eat it and return to your nearest ALDI store for a full refund.”
