A thunderstorm warning has been issued by the Met Office for various parts of England and Wales for the next two days.
It brings a large threat of frequent lightning and large hail. This thunderstorm alert will be effective from 12 pm until 8 pm on Friday.
The thunderstorm will stretch from the Westmidlands to the South East and includes the South West. The thunderstorm also covers a large part of Wales, Cardiff, and Swansea.
According to the weather agency, lightning strikes during the storms probably may cause certain damage to buildings. There is also a possibility of up to 40mm of rain in three hours.
So, driving can be affected by spray, standing water, and hail.
According to the Met Office, a few thundery showers can be present across southern and southeast England on Friday.
However, from the middle of the day, the storms are expected to develop more widely within the warning areas.
The Met Office also declared that whilst some places will remain dry, where thundery showers will occur, they will bring frequent lightning and winds. There are also chances of potential large hail as well as brief spells of heavy rain.
The authority added that there is a very low chance of 30-40mm falling in three hours across South West England.
The warnings of Saturday weather forecast is in place for 23 hours, from 1 am to midnight. The weather forecast is also applicable to even the larger areas including the whole of Wales, Liverpool, Leicester, and all of Cornwall.
The Met Office says that thunderstorms and heavy showers are expected to cause disturbance.
The Met Office said that hail and frequent lighting may accompany the most intense storms, during Saturday afternoon and evening. This will affect the Midlands, East Wales, and Southern England.
According to the officials, there is a small chance that the offices and homes could be flooded rapidly. The fast-flowing or deep water may cause “danger to life”.
The Met Office also warned that there is a low chance some communities become cut off by flooded roads. There is also a small chance of possible power cuts and cancellation of bus and train services.
The Met Office also declared that they are expecting these showers to merge into longer spells of heavy rain on Sunday and Monday.
While the full details will be clearer the authority will issue further severe weather warnings, so just keep up-to-date with the latest weather forecasting.
