Sainsbury’s Brings ‘Your Nectar Prices’ Personalized Deals to All UK Checkouts

Sainsbury’s is making a big change to its Nectar loyalty scheme from July 25, 2025. The supermarket is expanding its personalised “Your Nectar Prices” offer to all UK store checkouts. This means customers will be able to get their tailor-made discounts directly at the till for the first time.

Until now. Personalised Nectar offers were accessible only via the Smartshop app or online. Shoppers had to unlock their deals weekly through the Nectar app or website before they could use them. From July 25, simply scanning a registered Nectar card at the checkout will apply the personalised prices automatically. 

Your Nectar Prices gives customers up to 10 weekly discounts based on their shopping habits. Since the scheme started, Sainsbury’s has generated over 17 billion personalised offers. More than one million shoppers use it every week, saving a combined total of about 60 million euros in the past year.

The company says customers can save up to 150euros annually. This personalised approach rewards customers with better deals on the products they buy most, making loyalty more relevant and valuable. Mark Given, Sainsbury’s chief marketing, data & sustainability officer, said: “Shoppers want to feel recognised and rewarded. Your Nectar Prices delivers exactly that extra savings on the things customers love.”

To take advantage of the offers, Nectar members need to unlock them each Friday in the app or website before shopping. Offers refresh weekly and then apply automatically at self-service or manned tills, as well as online. 

Users must update to the Nectar app version 11.8 or higher to access the new checkout feature. Push notifications can remind users to unlock their discounts every week, ensuring no savings are missed. 

This update is part of a wider effort by Sainsbury’s to enhance digital loyalty services. It makes personalised discounts easier and quicker to use, encouraging more shoppers to gain from individual savings.

The program covers a wide range of categories, including fresh food, household goods, health and beauty, and baby and pet care items. 

Sainsbury’s aims to stand out by leading loyalty programs that truly personalise offers. This move also improves inclusivity, as customers who prefer shopping in physical stores now get the same seamless access to their deals without navigating apps during shopping. 

From July 25, 2025, Nectar members at Sainsbury’s will unlock their personalised weekly discounts via the app or website. These discounts will then apply automatically when scanning the Nectar card at any checkout. 

The program offers significant savings and enhances the shopping experience with custom deals based on individual preference, a notable step in Sainsbury’s loyalty evolution.
